To: All members of the Walton Barrow Board of REALTORS®
From: Robbie Thomas – President I wanted to update you on a change in the day-to-day administration of the Board. Our Association Executive has resigned, and we have entered into a shared services agreement with the NE Atlanta Metro Association to administer the operations. They have also been administering the operations of the I-85N Board for a number of years. There will be a few hiccups during this transition however by sharing services we can operate in a more efficient manner. Let me be very clear in that this is not another Association taking over our Board. We will remain an independent operation and they will be directed by us with the management of the Board.

Question: I have a buyer that was under contract when a pipe burst in the kitchen and flooded the kitchen, the garage, under the kitchen, and the living room. Water has caved in the ceiling to the garage and seeped in the walls. My buyer does not want to purchase the home anymore, so we terminated the contract. The GAR Purchase and Sales agreement states that the buyer is allowed to terminate the contact without penalty if there is damage to the home. The seller is saying that it is not substantial damage and he does not agree that the buyer should get her earnest money back. Please give me your opinion on this situation.
